Every kitchen and installation area is different. Walls may not be completely straight or square, while cabinets, extractor fans, window ledges, sockets and switches can all affect the size and shape of the glass required. With our measuring service, an experienced member of our team visits your property to take the detailed measurements needed for manufacture. This helps us account for the individual features of the installation area rather than relying on approximate dimensions.
The time required for measuring will depend on the project. A straightforward single splashback may require relatively few measurements, while a larger installation involving several pieces, shaped sections or multiple cut-outs will take longer.
When your glass is ready, our team can return to your property to complete the installation. Before fitting begins, the panels can be checked against the area to make sure they are suitable for the intended position.
Our measure and fit service provides one coordinated process from the initial site measurements through to installation. This can be particularly helpful for complex kitchen layouts where several individual pieces of glass need to line up correctly.
Once the measurements have been taken, the glass can be manufactured to suit your requirements. The Online Glass Shop produces bespoke splashbacks in custom sizes and can accommodate features such as socket and switch cut-outs and shaped sections.
Customers can choose from different types of glass depending on their project, including coloured and printed glass splashbacks and toughened mirrors. Our splashbacks are manufactured in the UK, allowing us to maintain control over the manufacturing process.
To provide an initial estimate for our measuring and fitting service, we need some basic information about your project. The measurements at this stage do not have to be exact because our professional measuring visit will establish the final dimensions.
Approximate panel sizes: Provide the rough width and height of each piece of glass required.
Socket and switch cut-outs: Tell us how many are required and whether they are for single sockets, double sockets, cooker switches or other fittings
Glass shaping: Let us know about notches, corners or shaped sections required around cabinets, extractor fans, window ledges or other features.
Type of glass: Tell us whether you are interested in coloured glass, printed glass, toughened mirror or another available option
Postcode: Provide the postcode for the property so we can confirm your location and service availability within the North West.
Contact details: Include an email address or telephone number so our team can discuss the project with you.
